What are your children doing after school next year?
In the Y-Care program, kids build self-esteem, values, and positive relationships with their peers and the YMCA staff. You'll know your children are growing and exploring their potential while having fun!
Join the Cumberland County YMCA School Age Enrichment Program and you'll experience a safe, fun, and engaging atmosphere every day.
Programs are available for students in the following districts: Falmouth (Before and After school care, K-4); MSAD 51 (After School Care; K-5); South Portland (Before and After school care, K-5)
Before school care runs from 7:00 - 8:30 am and offers students a relaxed atmosphere and an enjoyable way to start the day.
After school care runs from the end of the school day until 5:30 pm and offers students a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.
Program highlights include:
- Care from end of the school day until 5:30 pm
- Daily snacks
- A curriculum focusing on character development, health and wellness, sports and games, homework assistance, outdoor play, arts and humanities, and free choice days.
Each of our off-site school age programs are licensed through Maine's Department of Health and Human Services.
All teachers are First Aid and CPR certified, with prior experience in the child care field. Teachers also participate in ongoing training, ensuring that your children are always safe and well cared for.
Registration for families currently enrolled in Y-Care programs will open on Wednesday, May 26.
Open registration for all families will open on Wednesday, June 2.
