The Casco Bay YMCA Aquatic Department is dedicated to offering exciting current and new programs in a safe, clean, and fun aquatic environment for children, adults and families with well trained staff who are caring, responsible, respectful and honest.We have two pools; an 8 lane 25 yard Lap Pool and a warm water Therapy Pool, both equipped with a lift and a staff trained by the Arthritis Foundation. We also have a very active Swim Team.

YMCA Youth Swim Lessons

Dates: Winter I: January 3 – February 20;   Winter II: March 1 – April 17
Days: Monday through Thursday and Saturday mornings

Fees: Free for YMCA Family Members; $50 for Youth Program Members.

At the Casco Bay YMCA, our goal is to reach out to all members of our community to provide lessons to as many people as possible. With large and small pool options we provide a safe, comfortable place for children to experience the water, from the first time out of the tub through eight progressive levels. Our trained instructors teach personal safety tips, swim strokes, and enrich lessons with character building activities and values. Please review level requirements prior to registering.

Adult Recreational and Competitive Stroke Classes

These classes are designed for the swimmer who wants to improve their strokes for their personal fitness to those who would like to compete. Casco Bay YMCA Stripers Developmental Swim Teamswim team

Do you like to swim but are a little unsure about competition? Would you like to improve you swimming skills and learn more about the competitive rules with out competing? This could be the thing for you.

Casco Bay YMCA Stripers Winter Swim Team

Dates: September 21th – March
Days: Monday through Friday Practice, Saturday afternoon Meets
Times: 4 – 7:30 pm, times vary for each age group
Ages: 5 – 18 years
Fees: $325 10 & under/ $420 11 & up

Team work, character development, and hard work ethics are just a few of the values we strive for while working on swimming skill improvement and enjoy competitive swim meets. Dates: February and April School Vacations
Days: Monday through Friday
Times: 8 am to 4 pm

Fees: $250 includes LGT Training, CPR/AED, First aid.

Not enough money in your wallet? Need a flexible part-time job? How about sitting on a beach or next to a pool? If you are 15 or older, think about the possibility of becoming a Red Cross Lifeguard. All who complete the lifeguarding course requirements will be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED. Besides the job opportunities, lifeguarding is excellent to put on a college application.
