In 2008-2009 the Cumberland County YMCA provided $568,818 in assistance to ensure that everyone is able to take advantage of YMCA programs and services regardless of ability to pay. 1 in 3 members has received some level of financial assistance.
Financial Assistance
The Cumberland County YMCA is a not-for-profit membership organization committed to building strong kids, individuals, families and communities through programs and services that promote a healthy spirit, mind, and body for everyone, regardless of ability to pay. No one is ever turned away from the YMCA because of financial hardships or unexpected emergency expenses. That is why we offer our Open Doors program and review applications on an individual basis.
