Can't afford it? We can help!
Our Annual Scholarship Drive raises a limited amount of money for families in need of partial financial assistance. If you think you may qualify, you will want to begin the qualification process as soon as possible.

Complete the registration form, marking programs you would like to attend.

Mark the box on the registration form indication you would like financial assistance.

Complete the financial assistance request form.

Return to the Child Care Director or School Age Director at the YMCA. Within a few days, you will be notified of your scholarship amount.
The YMCA School Age Programs are funded in part by the Department of Health and Human Services as well.
Refunds and Transfers
While we understand that your plans may change, you should be aware of our refund policy. Parents receive refunds or transfers, less the deposit, providing the Child Care Director or School Age Director receives a written request fourteen days before the child’s last day. Otherwise, there will be no transfers or refunds.
Child Care Payment Statement
On a monthly basis you will receive a statement for the upcoming month’s childcare payment. (This is not a bill.) It’s purpose is to let you know what your upcoming weekly payments will be. Payments are due by Wednesday for the following week.
All payments must be made at the front desk of the YMCA or you can send them in the mail. Debited payments can also be arranges.
All payment questions should be directed to our accounts receivable staff at the Greater Portland YMCA at 874-1111.
Will I be receiving any additional information to fill out?
After receiving your registration form, you will be sent an enrollment package. Your child will not be allowed to begin the program until the YMCA receives a completed enrollment package from you.
